I thought I’d just make a quick page to introduce myself as my mini-bio doesn’t particularly reveal an awful lot other than that I am completely absorbed in pop-culture. Though… that’s not wholly inaccurate…
Hello! My name is Holly-Beth. I’m 17 years old and I live in Wales. I am currently in my first year of sixth-form. I am studying Media Studies, English Literature, Classical Civilization and History. I put the pro in procrastinator.
I’m a cinephile, bibliophile and a yankophile. I’m shy, sarcastic and misanthropic.
According to the Myers-Briggs Typology Indicator (MBTI) I’m an INFJ. INFJs make up about 1% of the population. The label INFJ means that I am: Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling and Judging. (Judging meaning more discerning rather than judgemental, by the way.)
I am an atheist. I fully support gay-rights. I don’t drink, smoke or take drugs— I just don’t see any benefits…
Ever since watching the Lord of the Rings movies, I have fallen in love with New Zealand. I hope to one day live there, or at least visit regularly. It’s beautiful. (To say the least!)
I’m addicted to Mountain Dew. I absolutely love Indian, Italian and Mexican foods. I get sea-sick easily. I have a serious phobia of birds and a less severe fear of walking on unstable bridges. I am fully trained in first-aid. I am the eldest of three children. My favourite colour is green. I like Raccoons and Snakes. I love accents. I talk in an American accent, to the dismay of my peers, a lot. I am fascinated by US history and well, the USA in general.
My hobbies include, reading, writing, travelling and because, I’m a teenage cliché, photography. (Though, I don’t want to be a photographer. It is just a hobby.) I would love to start archery and/or fencing lessons, as I’ve always had an interest in both sports. I am ridiculously interested, or to be more accurate, obsessed, with film production. I’m the type of person who watches all of the special features on all their DVDs and watches the films multiple times with the commentaries on.
Film is ultimately the field in which I aspire to end up working in one day. Whether it be through screen-writing, directing, editing— anything! Though, I think I’d be God-awful at acting.
My idols and role-models include: Stephen Fry, Peter Jackson, Viggo Mortensen, Emma Watson, Keira Knightley, Craig Fergusion, Robin Williams, Johnny Depp and Sir Ian Mckellen.
I could ramble on about all of these glorious people, but I’ll spare you that. If you would like a reason for any of these then feel free to drop by me ask box and inquire. I’ll gladly give you a long list of reasons why for any of them.
I have an admiration, as most people do, for the art that is acting. My personal favorite actors and actresses are Viggo Mortensen, Sean Bean, Christopher Lee, Jason Isaacs, Alan Rickman, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy Colin Firth, Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Jeff Goldblum, Terry O’Quinn, Dominic Monaghan and Hugh Jackman.
Though a musical person I am most certainly not, I do love listening to music. My favorite band without a doubt are the Foo Fighters. Their album, “Echoes, Silence, Paitence & Grace” was the first of theirs that I discovered and it really got me through some, let us say, rough patches. So, their music, especially on that album really does mean a lot to me. I also love Blue Öyster Cult, Bon Iver, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Foreigner, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Disney soundtracks.
I also, if you hadn’t noticed from my blog, love LOST, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Supernatural, Community, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and Disney but I’m sure you’ve noticed that by now.
